The Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel offers a central location in the heart of downtown, providing easy access to attractions and dining. While praised for its spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and convenient amenities, recent reviews highlight inconsistent service, maintenance issues, and reservation complications. Value perception seems mixed, with some finding it pricey for the level of service received.
I wish I could type out everything that went wrong when I went here but I'll just highlight the most important parts. It is extremely difficult to get into the lobby through the little roundabout they have as a person who's never been here and it is out of town. They canceled our reservation 3 days before claiming a party canceled it even though it was just my partner and I. When we got there after confirming over the phone before we left, we drove 8 hours by the way from Nebraska, they told us the reservation was made, but the rooms were not picked. This delayed us we went there as vendors for a trading card convention the amount of time that we lost we did the math after the weekend we lost at least $150 of sales. When we got to the room the shower head did not work only the little wand inside, the toilet did not flush the last night ( we were told when we checked out by a front desk person "that happens all the time" ). Getting ahold of the front desk via phone call is impossible and we are too tired from vending at the convention for 8 plus hours every day to walk down and try to get a hold of somebody. The last night the bathroom door fell off the hinge and no one would answer the front desk so I had to strain and hurt my shoulder trying to lift it back on. On the last day when we were checking out we tried to communicate with them about our terrible experience and if they could compensate us anyway whether a half day comp or just one day off and they told us "we can give you points or breakfast" after they spoke to their manager which by the way he is extremely rude I wish I got his name. We called corporate the day after we got home driving another 8 hours told them this entire story, they started a claim, got an email back 24 hours later like we said and they offered us free points again. After replying back with this whole story yet again an email form they told us there's nothing they can do. If I can give this please zero stars or negative Stars I would I'm never coming back to this hotel I don't even care if the convention is here you've lost my service and I will be telling every single person I know to never use your service. I'm currently working with my bank to dispute the charges and get my money back because your service is terrible and you did nothing to help make it right. $600+ dollars just to lose money, be stressed and then be disrespected with a undervalued compensation is crazy. Do better for yourself everyone and go somewhere else, unless you're rich it seems, then they kiss your butt as I saw from the people next to us.
I visited at the time of a large conference (Oct 2025) which had students sharing rooms. Isaiah checked me into a room, but it was later given to someone else while I was out at dinner. I was locked out upon my return and did not have access to my things. Eventually, another front desk agent was able to figure things out - I was checked into the wrong room intially. The second room was great. The food was enjoyable. Kitchen staff was very helpful with the banquets. However, some front desk staff need more training.
The front desk staff is very professional and wonderful at this location. They went above and beyond to provide the best customer service that I have experienced in a long time. Thank you for making my stay exceptional.
I had a great stay at the Sheraton. The hotel felt very luxurious and I didn’t have any complaints during my visit. The beds were extremely comfortable and I slept great. Everything was very clean, and the food was good as well. One thing I really appreciated was how safe and secure the hotel felt. There’s always staff present and you need a key to access certain areas, so it’s not a place where people are just coming in and out. That added a lot of peace of mind. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely come back.
Great location for this mediocre and pricey hotel. Zero view. Inconsistent housekeeping. Uncomfortable chairs and pillows, broken furniture. Toilet does not fully flush. Smart TV with YouTube and Netflix nice. Fridge appreciated, but froze our food with no adjustment knob.
The tower side suite I had was incredible, very stylish and nice. Felt very clean and bright and comfortable. My bed was a little on the firm side, but that's no reason to lose a star. Amenities are very nicely done at this hotel, the lounge is nice, clean and very well operated. The lobby convenience store is overpriced, but pretty well supplied as well. All in all, very nice hotel. The conference hall was very nice and everything worked great for our company event. Loved it.
I arrived on 1/13 to check in and was told by the front desk agent, Gary, that I had a shared room and would need to pay for a single room, despite my company already having paid for a confirmed single-room reservation. I showed him my company email, advised that this needed to be corrected, and after about 25 minutes, the issue was resolved. Upon entering the room, I found maintenance and cleanliness issues, including a broken shower head, no place to put soap in the shower, and a soiled toilet. It was after midnight, no other rooms were available due to our company booking, so I had no choice but to clean the toilet myself. After checkout, I realized I had left my Apple Watch in the room. Using Find My iPhone, I could see it was still inside the hotel. Hotel staff were not helpful, so I contacted the Denver Police non-emergency line and filed a police report. Even after being shown clear location evidence and later confirming that the watch had moved off the property, hotel management only stated they would “follow up with housekeeping,” which is not an acceptable response. I have escalated this issue to Marriott Corporate. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this hotel, and I will ensure my company is aware to avoid future bookings here.
Great place to stay off looking to be in the great of Denver. This hotel is located right in 16th street, with free bus, shopping, restaurants, entertainment. A little bit I'd everything and only a few blocks from the convention center. The rooms are nice, spacious and well kept. Staff were really friendly as well. Didn't eat at the restaurants, but the food and drink I saw looked good.
Well had a rough start in the beginning. Went to my room and card to go in my room wasn't working Went back downstairs to get a new card. Again didn't wrong. Didn't want to go back down. Called guest service which was a pain cause I had to call couple of times before the answer. Told them not going back down. Then only to realize that the tlroom number was wrong. Wanted to leave but they send up Cassandra from bell serive to help me out to find the right room and help with my bags. Im disabled so I have a hard time walking. She was kind and understanding. And if it wasn't for her help I would had left. To me she deserves a 20 star review for customer service. She made the difference in making my stay very nice. Thanks Cassandra
I had an amazing stay from start to finish. The staff is incredibly well trained—from the valet team to the check-in desk, everyone was professional, welcoming, and attentive. Breakfast was excellent with great variety and fresh options, and the restaurant overall delivered a fantastic dining experience. Truly a top-class stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a memorable visit.
