The Kimpton Claret Hotel receives generally positive reviews, particularly highlighting its stylish design, attentive staff, and convenient location near the Denver Tech Center. However, recent feedback indicates some inconsistencies in service, billing issues, and concerns regarding room amenities and noise levels. While the hotel boasts a vibrant rooftop bar and excellent breakfast options, issues with room temperature, cleanliness, and overall value are also noted.

Stayed here twice, IHG Diamond member, booked with Select Hotels & Chase The Edit. First stay (a quiet period): they kindly upgraded me to a suite in exchange for my property credit, which I loved. However, that came with an extra tax charge at checkout for the higher room category. No one mentioned it when I accepted the upgrade. I’d gladly have paid it, but I should’ve been told so I could actually consent. I was also charged for valet, even though I’d told the clerk at check-in I’d made my own parking arrangements (I assume someone saw my car pull up). It got taken off, but it shouldn’t have been added in the first place. Second stay (very busy): no category upgrade, which I completely understand. But the waiter ran an extra $10 on my card, on top of the full total, including tax and the tip I’d already written in and signed for. That’s hard to read as anything but intentional. It’s completely unacceptable. On top of that, I tried calling the front desk many times about some items I may have left behind, and no one ever picked up. I stay in Kimptons all the time, and generally love the brand, especially in Europe. I don’t expect 5* service, I usually go for the location and vibes. But waiters helping themselves to extra funds from my card, and having to study my folio every single stay, gets pretty tiring. None of this is on the front desk staff, who were lovely. It feels more like a systems/oversight problem.

It's right in the heart of a big new development, it's quite busy and a very fast paced (high income) living area with up scale hotels and apartments/lofts. Lots of fine dining in the area. The hotel itself was very nice well kept, service was immediate and friendly. Very nice bar on the lobby floor right as you walk in. Rooms had very comfortable beds and very nice walk in showers and a "pay as you open" beer wine and liquor selection in the room. The rooftop is a lively bar and dance area for those looking to party into the later hours. Price point for the quality in value I feel is on point if not exceeds competition. Would love to stay there again.

Lauren provided excellent customer service. She recognized an uncomfortable customer experience with her team. She was able to make corrections quickly and made our night! We will remember the way she made us feel in our decision of where we stay on our next visit to Denver. Also, another shoutout to Leonardo.

This appears to be a relatively new hotel, and the design and rooms feel modern and fresh. However, there were several disappointing details. The paper coasters in the room looked reused and dirty, expired snacks were placed out as if nothing was wrong, and there was no bottle opener available. We reserved the room for two people, yet only one bathrobe was provided. Additionally, there was a hole in the bedsheets, which was quite surprising for a new hotel. As a Platinum Elite member, we were offered an upgrade, but the “upgrade” was simply changing from a city view to a mountain view. Unfortunately, there is an apartment building directly across from the window, so only about 30% of the mountain is actually visible. Compared to upgrades I’ve received at other hotels within the same membership tier, this felt rather meaningless. Despite having late checkout, housekeeping knocked on the door at 10 a.m., and when we opened it, they left without saying anything. There seem to be many areas where management could pay closer attention and make improvements. On a positive note, the drinks in the lobby and during social hour were excellent and very enjoyable.

The entire staff from the valet, house keeping to the Manager on duty have treated me like family. They have made the hotel my home away from home. The bartenders at Halo and the entire staff at Severina restaurant make the package complete. It is the warmth of the people that work at this property that truly sets it apart. All the best for 2026!

This hotel is a joke! The room was an ice box and wouldn't warm up no matter what we did. The bed was freezing cold and the cover barely helps. There's not enough pillows and I had to use a couch pillow to have enough. There's no fridge, microwave or coffee machine. There's not even liners in the trash cans! I had to take my trash with me so I ended up paying to be a volunteer employee of the hotel. I was promised valet service but there was none and had to park on the street but as I'm leaving early in the morning to get some actual sleep, of course now there's a valet on duty. The room decor appears to be stuck in the 80's and nothings complimentary! I'm surprised we didn't get charged to use the restroom. Honestly, the worst hotel I've ever stayed at! It's a joke because they're charging Renaissance prices but don't even have the accommodations of a Holiday Inn. Absolutely terrible experience and 10/10 would not recommend.

This is a brand new, beautiful Kimpton located near Denver's Tech center. We had a quick overnight night stay here before an early morning flight out of Denver and we were really glad to try this place out. The property is gorgeous and the service during our quick stay was great. We'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend this hotel. No detail was missed and everything is brand new.

We really enjoyed our recent two night stay at the Kimpton Claret. The hotel was very clean and modern as to be expected with a newer hotel. Staff were very attentive from the moment we had checked in. Was provided a brief overview of the property, amenities and reward perks for our stay. The rooftop restaurant had a lovely relaxed vibe. We had a few cocktails at the HALO , they weren’t the best, but the atmosphere made it worth it. The restaurant on the first floor had much better breakfast and cocktails than I expected. Would recommend this property for all. Overall was a great experience. Thank you Kimpton Claret!

This hotel was amazing! The decor is very nice, and the food from both the restaurant and rooftop bar are excellent! There are some really stellar options for food and drinks including a daily social with complimentary alcoholic drinks. The staff was very friendly and the front desk attendant did a good job of explaining the details of my stay. There was also a really nice bath tub in my room. This hotel stay was great and I highly recommend staying here!

It's a beautiful hotel. I would absolutely come back again and enjoyed every night we stayed here. There's a restaurant downstairs that had a breakfast/brunch menu that was amazing. The best brunch I've had. The hotel was extremely clean and the lobby was beautiful. The two things I didn't like is that there isn't any parking so we had to park in a parking garage across the street. They do offer valet for $50ish a night which we couldn't justify the price for the visit so parking across the street was cheaper. The other thing that appears to be a common gripe amongst other guests was the size of the gym. It's too small, people were trying to cram into got upsetit, and left. I've seen hotels with bigger gyms and hotels with smaller gyms. This one could be bigger. Otherwise, it's a great place and I highly recommend staying here.
