The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Denver receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the friendly staff and convenient location, while others report cleanliness issues, outdated facilities, and concerning air quality. Recent reviews highlight inconsistent service and some operational difficulties.
We got here and the service was great! Shoutout to Charles who was working at the front desk, he was very professional, kind, and helpful. It was very packed when we got there and a bunch of kids were running around and being a little obnoxious. We got up to our room and there was hair in our shower and there was a drainage problem so at the end of my shower I was standing in a bath of water. We complained to the front desk afterward and the two women that were there were very unprofessional and condescending. They bantered back and forth about being supervisors and if they were able to do anything just to claim that they couldn’t do anything as far as accommodations go. We stayed in room 635, avoid it if you can!
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Denver is a decent hotel with a comfortable and convenient setup. The room was clean overall, and the staff was polite and helpful during the stay. The location worked well for getting around Denver, and the usual DoubleTree touches, like the cookies, are a nice bonus. Some parts of the hotel may feel a little dated, but it was still a comfortable stay. Overall, a solid option if you’re looking for a reliable hotel at a reasonable price.
A nice and clean hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. But this hotel is severely understaffed. For example, they have one lady serving the entire restaurant during breakfast time. I felt really bad for the poor lady who was running around frantically trying to serve all guests as best as she could. There’s also always only one person in the bar/restaurant area, which oddly doesn’t open until 4 pm. Very strange.
I stayed here for the first time and enjoyed my stay. The warm cookies at check-in was a very nice touch (especially when you’re tired and irritable)!! The front desk staff was very nice. I called to tell them I didn’t think the thermostat in my room was allowing my room to get warm enough and they sent maintenance RIGHT AWAY. You can communicate with them via text and they are very responsive which I appreciate!! The garlic parmesan wings from their sports bar were delicious too!! In regards to the rooms, they are nice and updated. The bed itself was very comfortable and I liked the pillows, linens, and comforter as well. Their coffee maker was easy to use. I got an amazing rate on my room and I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend! Thank you for an excellent stay! ??????????
The rooms are small and have no microwave. You have to pay extra for everything, parking, TV services, breakfast, ext. Pool is not heated however it is indoors. Plenty of elevators, but small it can fit 4 to 5 people. Service was good.
I stayed at this hotel for one night. The lobby, hotel staff and on-site restaurant are very nice. Unfortunately, when I got off the elevator on my floor the entire hallway wreaked of weed. I am not a weed or cigarette smoker so I found this very irritating. In my room, there were waves of weed smell moving in the air (like a draft). I called the front desk hoping to move to a better room and, unfortunately, they were 100% booked. Aside from this, the hotel room was very clean and very nice, but the air quality was so frustrating that it tanks my opinion of this hotel.
I was really disappointed with my experience at the Hub Bar at the DoubleTree in Denver on Quebec Street. I sat there for an hour without any service—no drink offer, nothing. Even though staff walked by multiple times, I felt completely ignored. If you value your time, I’d recommend skipping this spot. Thankfully, I noticed Character’s Bar near the entrance (also at the DoubleTree), and the difference was night and day. River, Mulu, and Jessica were amazing—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They completely turned my night around and showed what great service should look like.
?????????? As a pilot, I spend a lot of time in hotels and airport-adjacent bars, and I can confidently say River stands out at the highest level. River is a true cocktail master—precise, consistent, and calm under pressure, the same qualities we value in the cockpit. Every drink is perfectly balanced and expertly executed, with zero shortcuts. As a manager, River runs the bar like a well-flown operation: organized, efficient, and welcoming. The atmosphere is smooth, professional, and reliable—exactly what you want after a long day of flying. River sets the standard for excellence and elevates the entire experience. This is hospitality you can trust every time you land.
Arrived at this hotel with high hopes: friendly staff, a beautiful lobby, and genuinely great free cookies. Unfortunately, everything went downhill the moment I stepped off the elevator and into a dark, dingy hallway straight out of a low-budget horror movie. The room itself somehow managed to be even more bleak—cold, joyless, and immediately uncomfortable. The first thing I noticed was the temperature. It was absolutely freezing. The thermostat was turned off, and the room was sitting at 54°F—in Colorado, in December. After a four-hour drive, I headed to the bathroom only to be greeted by a light that flickered for a solid 30 seconds before turning on, revealing brown stains in the bottom of the tub. Not exactly the relaxing welcome you hope for. At this point I figured, “Whatever, I’ve had worse.” I set the thermostat to 70° and tried to get some sleep. That turned out to be a mistake. Between paper-thin walls, highway noise, wind whistling through the window, and a heater that never shut off, sleep was nearly impossible. I eventually checked the thermostat again and realized the room was pushing 90+ degrees. The only solution was to shut off both heat and AC and ride it out. The next morning, staff reached out to ask how my stay was going. I explained everything. They offered to send maintenance, which I agreed to—though I wouldn’t be back until late that night. When I returned, the heat was blasting and the room was 93°F. Thanks, maintenance. Honestly, my one-eyed dog could’ve done better. I complained again and was offered another maintenance visit at 9 PM, which I declined. At that point, I gave up entirely. No heat, no AC—just raw-dogged the final night. Great cookies. Everything else? Not so much.
This is my first visit in Denver, CO and stay at DoubleTree by Hilton. As soon as I walked into the hotel and approached the service desk, I was greeted & welcomed by a team of customer service reps. Matt & Edna were professional and had pleasant personalities. Matt & Edna went above and beyond expectations to resolve my questions and concerns. Matt without hesitation immediately addressed my question/concern. This was a very positive experience. I truly appreciate the top notch service that was provided! Once again, Matt thanks for your willingness to satisfy me by making me a happy customer/guest. I will definitely recommend this location to family & friends when visiting this area. The beds & pillows are comfortable, and air conditioner/heating unit works properly! The breakfast was good, it wasn’t the traditional buffet style. We were able to sit down and order from a menu. These type of positive interactions/ friendly customer services are needed more often in today’s society and the world would be a better place.
